In response to a request from the City of Chicago and the Office of Emergency Management and Communications (OEMC), BritePath rapidly mobilized to open emergency shelters to meet urgent community needs. Within 24 hours, the first shelter was operational with approximately 250 beds. Over the following 72 hours, BritePath coordinated the delivery and setup of all necessary furniture and resources, expanding the shelter’s capacity to 640 beds. This initiative served as a successful proof of concept, with the model effectively replicated across three separate shelter locations for both the City of Chicago and State of Illinois.
